Write for us
We welcome clear, original proposals about taking part in recreational sport and fitting it into ordinary life. A useful pitch starts with a specific reader question and offers a grounded way to answer it.
Ideas that fit
We are interested in considered pieces about starting out, making time, practice, group participation and returning after a pause. Strong proposals have one main point, explain why it matters to readers and offer steps or comparisons a general reader can use safely. We do not need a finished article to consider an idea.
What to include
Tell us the working title, the central idea, who the piece is for and how you would handle it. Mention any sources or specific expertise the proposal depends on, and flag potential conflicts of interest. Keep the pitch focused; a clear outline is more helpful than a broad list of possible topics.
How to send a pitch
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please do not send private, confidential or sensitive information. We review ideas for fit and clarity, but sending a proposal does not guarantee publication.
